Warning

• Do not use if allergic to febuxostat or any other ingredients in Febustal.
• Febuxostat has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events (such as heart attack and stroke) in some patients. Patients with a history of heart disease should use this medication with caution.
• Patients with liver impairment should have their liver enzymes monitored periodically during treatment.
• Dose adjustments may be necessary for patients with severe kidney dysfunction.
• Febuxostat should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed and under medical supervision, as safety has not been established. It is advised to avoid breastfeeding while taking Febustal.
• Inform your healthcare provider if you are taking medications like azathioprine, mercaptopurine, or theophylline, as they may interact with Febustal.
• Common side effects may include headache, nausea, joint pain, and liver enzyme elevations.
• Serious side effects can include rash, allergic reactions, cardiovascular events, and liver dysfunction. Seek medical attention if any serious side effects occur.
