Dosage:
The recommended dosage of Coempaken varies based on individual glycemic control needs and prior Metformin use. Typically, it is prescribed as:

Warning
- Lactic Acidosis: Rare but serious risk associated with metformin use, especially in cases of renal dysfunction or conditions predisposing to hypoxia.
- Ketoacidosis: Empagliflozin can increase the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis; monitor patients closely for symptoms.
- Renal Function: Regular monitoring of kidney function is essential. Do not use if eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73 m².
- Volume Depletion: Empagliflozin may cause dehydration; maintain adequate fluid intake.
- Hypoglycemia: Risk increases when used with insulin or sulfonylureas.
- Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Long-term use of metformin may cause B12 deficiency; monitor periodically.
- Pregnancy and Lactation: Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Contraindications:
