Concor 5mg Tablets are prescription drugs that contain bisoprolol fumarate, a beta-blocker. They are primarily prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain). These tablets work by slowing down the heart rate and reducing the force of each heartbeat, thereby reducing the workload on the heart and controlling blood pressure. Each tablet contains 5mg of bisoprolol fumarate.

Concor 5mg Tablets are prescribed for the management of hypertension, chronic stable angina pectoris, and chronic heart failure when used in combination with other medications. The recommended starting dose for hypertension and angina pectoris is 5mg once daily, which can be adjusted up to a maximum of 20mg daily based on the patient’s response. For chronic heart failure, treatment should begin with a low dose of 1.25mg daily and gradually increased to a maximum of 10mg daily. It is advised to take the tablets in the morning, with or without food, and to swallow them whole with water.

Warning
Do not use Concor 5mg Tablets if you are allergic to bisoprolol or any tablet ingredients, have severe asthma, COPD, severe peripheral arterial circulatory disorders, untreated pheochromocytoma, or metabolic acidosis. Consult your doctor before taking Concor if you have diabetes, thyroid disorders, severe kidney or liver problems, or are undergoing surgery. Bisoprolol is not recommended during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Inform your doctor of all medications you are currently taking, and be aware of common side effects like dizziness and nausea.
