. Kytril Tabs 1mg are effective in preventing nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy or radiation. They contain granisetron, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that inhibits serotonin from triggering these symptoms. Each tablet contains 1mg of granisetron hydrochloride.

Suggested Use
Kytril 1mg Tablets are indicated for:
- Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with:
- Cancer chemotherapy
- Radiation therapy
- Prevention of post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV).
Dosage and Administration:
- For chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting:
- Adults: 1mg tablet taken twice daily. The first dose should be taken within 1 hour before chemotherapy.
- Alternatively, a single dose of 2mg may be taken 1 hour prior to chemotherapy.
- For radiation-induced nausea and vomiting:
- Adults: 2mg once daily, taken within 1 hour of radiation therapy.
- For postoperative nausea and vomiting:
- Adults: 1mg dose taken before surgery.
Important Notes:
- Always take Kytril as prescribed by your doctor.
- Tablets should be swallowed whole with water, with or without food.
Warning
- Do not use Kytril if you are allergic to granisetron or any of its ingredients.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, or electrolyte imbalances.
- Consult your doctor before using Kytril if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Kytril can interact with other medications, so inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.
