Suggested Use
Diprogenta Cream and Ointment are commonly used for:
- Treating inflammatory skin conditions with a high risk of bacterial infection.
- Conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by secondary bacterial infections.
- Reducing inflammation and controlling infection in affected skin areas.
Dosage and Application:
Adults and Children: Apply a thin layer of Diprogenta to the affected area 1-2 times daily, or as directed by a physician. Ensure the skin is clean and dry before applying. Avoid occlusive dressings unless prescribed, as these may increase the absorption of the medication.
Warning
- For External Use Only: Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and open wounds.
- If signs of an allergic reaction (e.g., rash, itching, or swelling) appear, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
- Long-term use, especially in large amounts, may lead to skin thinning, discolouration, or increased absorption of corticosteroids, potentially causing systemic side effects.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if prescribed by a healthcare provider.
- Prolonged use on large areas of skin can lead to increased absorption of both ingredients and may result in side effects.
- Potential side effects may include burning, itching, irritation, or dryness at the application site.
- Rarely, more serious side effects like thinning of the skin, stretch marks, or increased susceptibility to infections may occur with extended use.
