Clopress 75mg Tablets, an antiplatelet, helps prevent blood clots. It is commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events in patients with a history of heart disease, recent stroke, or established peripheral arterial disease. Active Substances: Clopidogrel 75mg per tablet.

Suggested Use
Clopress 75mg Tablets are indicated for:
- Reducing the risk of myocardial infarction (heart attack) or stroke in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
- Prevention of thrombotic complications in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
- Reducing the risk of blood clots in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
- Managing peripheral arterial disease.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults:
- The standard dose is 75mg once daily, taken orally with or without food.
- In cases of acute coronary syndrome: An initial loading dose of 300mg may be recommended, followed by 75mg daily in combination with aspirin.
Warning
- Bleeding Risk: Clopress increases the risk of bleeding. Use caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or peptic ulcers.
- Surgery: Discontinue Clopress 5–7 days prior to major surgery to reduce the risk of bleeding, unless otherwise directed by a doctor.
- Drug Interactions: Avoid concomitant use with other anticoagulants or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) without medical advice, as this increases bleeding risk.
- Liver Impairment: Use cautiously in patients with severe liver disease.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only be done under medical supervision.
Possible Side Effects:
- Common: Bruising, nosebleeds, diarrhea, or abdominal pain.
- Serious: Signs of severe bleeding, such as blood in stools or urine, or coughing up blood. Seek immediate medical attention if these occur.
- Rare: Allergic reactions, including rash, itching, or difficulty breathing.
