Seretide Accuhaler 50mcg/500mcg is a dry powder inhaler designed to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains two active ingredients: Salmeterol 50 mcg and Fluticasone Propionate 500 mcg.

Suggested Use
Seretide Accuhaler is indicated for:
- Asthma: Regular treatment in patients requiring a combination of inhaled corticosteroids and long-acting beta-2 agonists.
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Symptomatic treatment in patients with significant symptoms despite regular bronchodilator therapy
Dosage:
- Adults and Children Over 12 Years: Typically, one inhalation of Seretide 50/500 mcg twice daily.
- Children Aged 4 to 11 Years: One inhalation of Seretide 50/250 mcg twice daily may be prescribed.
- Patients should use Seretide daily for optimal results, even when asymptomatic
Warning
- Seretide Accuhaler is not intended for the immediate relief of acute asthma or COPD symptoms. Patients should have a fast-acting bronchodilator available for such situations.
- Rarely, patients may experience increased wheezing or shortness of breath after dosing. In such cases, the inhaler should be discontinued immediately and alternative therapy considered
- Contraindications: Not suitable for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or those with severe milk protein allergy due to the presence of lactose monohydrate
- Monitor for potential side effects such as tremors, palpitations, or headaches, which are usually transient
