Duodart Capsules (0.5 mg/0.4 mg) are prescribed to manage moderate to severe symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Each capsule combines two active ingredients which work together to relieve the symptoms associated with BPH. Active Substances: Dutasteride 0.5mg and Tamsulosin 0.4mg per capsule.

Suggested Use
This combination therapy:
- Reduces prostate size.
- Relieves urinary symptoms such as difficulty in starting urination, weak stream, and frequent urination.
- Lowers the risk of acute urinary retention and the need for prostate surgery.
Dosage and Administration:
- Recommended Dose: One capsule taken orally, once daily, approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day.
- Swallow the capsule whole without chewing or crushing to avoid irritation of the oesophagus.
- Duration of treatment should be as prescribed by the healthcare provider, depending on symptom severity and response to therapy.
Warning
- Not for Women or Children: Duodart is intended for men only.
- Allergies: Do not take if you are allergic to dutasteride, tamsulosin, soya, peanut, or any other ingredients.
- Blood Pressure: Avoid if you have low blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension).
- Liver Disease: Not suitable for individuals with severe liver disease.
- Pregnancy: Women who are or may become pregnant should not handle Duodart capsules as it can cause birth defects.
