The DTS-Z Kit is a combination of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and Zinc tablets, designed to help manage dehydration and replenish essential electrolytes and fluids lost due to diarrhoea, vomiting, or other conditions causing fluid loss. The kit contains 4 sachets of ORS (10.30g each) and Zinc tablets.
Oral Rehydration Salts
Suggested Use
Uses:
- Rehydration: The ORS solution helps to replace fluids and electrolytes lost during diarrhoea, vomiting, or other conditions causing dehydration.
- Zinc Supplementation: Zinc tablets are used to reduce the duration and severity of diarrhoea and to boost the immune system.
Dosage:
- ORS: Dissolve one sachet of ORS in 500ml of clean drinking water. Stir well until fully dissolved. Administer the solution in small sips throughout the day, especially after each loose stool.
- Zinc Tablets: Take one Zinc tablet daily for 10-14 days, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Warning
- Before using the DTS-Z Kit, consult a healthcare professional, especially for children under 6 months, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals with chronic health conditions.
- Ensure the ORS sachet is properly dissolved in the correct amount of water. Do not use more or less water than recommended.
- Store the ORS sachets and Zinc tablets in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
- Possible side effects of Zinc tablets include nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset. If any severe reactions occur, discontinue use and seek medical attention.
