Cymbalta 60mg Capsules 28’s is used to manage certain mental health and chronic pain conditions. It helps restore the balance of natural chemicals in the brain to improve mood and alleviate pain. Suggested Use

Cymbalta is indicated for the treatment of:

  1. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
  2. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
  3. Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain.
  4. Fibromyalgia.
  5. Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain, such as osteoarthritis or lower back pain.

Dosage:

Adults:

  • Depression & Anxiety: Start with 30mg once daily, increasing to 60mg once daily as needed.
  • Chronic Pain Conditions: Usually 60mg once daily.

Special Considerations:

  • Adjustments may be necessary for individuals with hepatic or renal impairment.
  • Swallow capsules whole; do not crush, chew, or open.
  • Take with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

Warning

  • Suicidal Thoughts: Cymbalta may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts in young adults, especially during the initial treatment phase.
  • Serotonin Syndrome: Avoid concurrent use with other serotonergic agents (e.g., SSRIs, triptans).
  • Liver Toxicity: Use with caution in patients with pre-existing liver conditions or those who consume substantial amounts of alcohol.
  • Bleeding Risk: May increase the risk of bleeding, especially when combined with NSAIDs or anticoagulants.
  • Hypertension: Monitor blood pressure regularly, as Cymbalta can cause hypertension.
  • Withdrawal Symptoms: Do not abruptly stop the medication. Gradual tapering under medical supervision is recommended.
