Engerix B 10mcg 1 Dose Paed Up is a vaccine for hepatitis B that is specifically made for children. It helps protect against the hepatitis B virus and is created using recombinant DNA technology. Individuals with known allergies to any part of the vaccine, including yeast, should not receive it. Severe fever or illness should delay vaccination. People with bleeding disorders should be cautious due to potential bleeding at the injection site. Fainting can occur before or after injection, so precautions should be taken. Those with compromised immune systems may require additional doses or a different schedule. Common side effects include pain, redness, swelling at the injection site, fever, irritability, fatigue, headache, and gastrointestinal symptoms. Severe allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention. The vaccine should be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C and protected from light.
