Coartesiane Suspension 120ml is an antimalarial drug made for kids. It contains a fixed-dose combination of artemether and lumefantrine. Its tasty flavour and liquid form help children take their medicine more easily. Active Substances: Artemether: 3 mg/ml and Lumefantrine: 18 mg/ml.

Suggested Use
Coartesiane Suspension is indicated for:
- Treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria infections caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including drug-resistant strains.
This medication is not intended for the prevention of malaria or for the treatment of severe malaria (e.g., cerebral malaria).
Dosage:
The dosage depends on the patient’s body weight and the severity of the infection. The standard treatment involves taking the medication for three consecutive days. The simplified dosage scheme is:
- Day 1: Child’s weight (kg) x 1.5 = amount (in ml) of Coartesiane Susp per dose
- Day 2: Same as Day 1
- Day 3: Same as Day 1
Warning
- Complete the full course: It is essential to complete the full three-day course to avoid relapse.
- If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of taking the suspension, the full dose should be administered. If vomiting occurs within one hour, half the dose should be administered.
- Artemether/lumefantrine has not been studied in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment
