Suggested Use

Terbex Tablets are indicated for the treatment of fungal infections caused by dermatophytes, including:

Onychomycosis (fungal infections of the nails).
Tinea corporis (ringworm of the body).
Tinea cruris (ringworm of the groin or “jock itch”).
Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot).
Tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp).

Dosage:
Adults:

The usual dose is 250 mg once daily.
Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection:
- Onychomycosis: 6-12 weeks.
- Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris: 2-4 weeks.
- Tinea pedis: 2-6 weeks.

Children:

Dosage is based on body weight, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Take the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food.

Warning

Do not use if allergic to terbinafine or any of the tablet’s components.
Terbex Tablets may cause liver dysfunction. Regular liver function tests are recommended, especially in long-term use. Discontinue immediately if symptoms like jaundice, dark urine, or fatigue occur.
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
Consult a doctor before use, as safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established.
Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, as Terbex may interact with certain drugs, including rifampin, cimetidine, or oral contraceptives.
Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, diarrhoea), headache, and skin reactions (rash, itching). Rare but serious effects include liver toxicity or severe allergic reactions.
