Terbex Tablet, an antifungal agent, is used to treat fungal infections of the skin and nails. It works by attacking and killing the fungus causing the infection. Active Substances:Terbinafine Hydrochloride (250 mg per tablet)

Suggested Use
Terbex Tablets are indicated for the treatment of fungal infections caused by dermatophytes, including:
- Onychomycosis (fungal infections of the nails).
- Tinea corporis (ringworm of the body).
- Tinea cruris (ringworm of the groin or “jock itch”).
- Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot).
- Tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp).
Dosage:
Adults:
- The usual dose is 250 mg once daily.
- Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection:
- Onychomycosis: 6-12 weeks.
- Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris: 2-4 weeks.
- Tinea pedis: 2-6 weeks.
Children:
- Dosage is based on body weight, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Take the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food.
Warning
- Do not use if allergic to terbinafine or any of the tablet’s components.
- Terbex Tablets may cause liver dysfunction. Regular liver function tests are recommended, especially in long-term use. Discontinue immediately if symptoms like jaundice, dark urine, or fatigue occur.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
- Consult a doctor before use, as safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established.
- Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, as Terbex may interact with certain drugs, including rifampin, cimetidine, or oral contraceptives.
- Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, diarrhoea), headache, and skin reactions (rash, itching). Rare but serious effects include liver toxicity or severe allergic reactions.
