Rizact-10mg Tablets are used for quick relief from migraine attacks. They act by narrowing the brain’s blood vessels, which helps reduce symptoms like headaches, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and other related issues. Active Substances: Rizatriptan benzoate 10 mg.

 

Migraine Treatment

Suggested Use

Rizact-10 mg Tablets are used for:

  • Acute treatment of migraine attacks: They are effective in relieving the headache phase of a migraine but are not intended for the prevention of migraines. The medication should be taken as soon as possible after the onset of a migraine headache.
Dosage:
  • Adults:
    • Recommended dose: 10 mg taken as soon as migraine symptoms appear.
    • If the migraine recurs, another dose may be taken at least 2 hours after the first dose.
    • Maximum dose: 30 mg per 24 hours.
  • Adolescents (12-17 years):
    • Recommended dose: 5 mg or 10 mg based on body weight and physician’s guidance.
    • Maximum dose: Consult a healthcare provider.
  • Special Populations:
    • In patients with mild to moderate liver or kidney impairment: 5 mg per dose, with a maximum of 2 doses in 24 hours.

Administration:

  • Swallow the tablet whole with water.
  • Can be taken with or without food, but taking it on an empty stomach may result in a faster onset of action.

Warning

Before taking Rizact-10 mg Tablets, consider the following warnings:

  • Allergies: Do not use if allergic to rizatriptan or any other ingredients in the tablet.
  • Medical Conditions: Consult your doctor if you have:
    • Severe liver or kidney disease
    • Heart disease or high blood pressure
    • A history of brain problems
  • Potential Side Effects: Common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth, and sensations of heaviness or tingling. If severe side effects occur, such as chest pain or swelling in the face or tongue, seek medical attention immediately
  • Overdose Risks: Symptoms may include dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting, fainting, and slow heart rate. If an overdose is suspected, contact a healthcare professional promptly
