Orcef 200mg Tablets help treat different types of bacterial infections. They work well on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Each tablet contains 200mg of Cefixime.

Orcef 200mg Tablets are used to treat:

  1. Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
  2. Gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted infection)
  3. Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis
  4. Acute Bronchitis
  5. Acute Otitis Media (middle ear infection)
  6. Sinusitis
  7. Pneumonia
  8. Bone and Joint Infections.

Dosage:

The dosage of Orcef 200mg Tablets may vary depending on the specific infection being treated and the patient’s condition. It is important to follow the doctor’s prescription. Generally, the typical dosage is:

  • Adults and children over 12 years: 200mg to 400mg, taken once or twice daily.
  • Children under 12 years: Dosage is usually based on body weight and should be determined by a doctor.

Warning

  • Do not take Orcef 200mg Tablets if you are allergic to cefixime or any other cephalosporin antibiotics.
  • Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney issues.
