Metformin Denk 850mg is used for:

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone do not result in adequate glycemic control.
It can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents or insulin.

Dosage:

Adults: The usual starting dose is 850 mg once daily with meals. The dose may be increased in increments of 500 mg weekly or 850 mg every two weeks, based on blood glucose measurements, up to a maximum dose of 2550 mg per day, divided into two or three doses.
Children (10 years and older): The starting dose is 500 mg twice daily with meals. The dose may be increased in increments of 500 mg weekly, up to a maximum of 2000 mg per day, divided into two doses.

Warning

Do not use it if you have severe kidney disease, metabolic acidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis.
A rare but serious side effect, characterized by symptoms such as muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain, dizziness, and feeling very weak or tired. Seek immediate medical attention if these symptoms occur.
Regular monitoring of kidney function is recommended before starting and during treatment.
Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking to avoid potential interactions.
Consult your healthcare provider before using during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
