Lina 5mg Tablets are DPP-4 inhibitors that help control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes. They should be used with a healthy diet and exercise. The active ingredient is Linagliptin 5mg.

Suggested Use
Lina 5mg Tablets are used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. They can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other common antidiabetic medications, including Metformin, Sulfonylurea, Pioglitazone, or Insulin.
Dosage:
The recommended dose of Lina 5mg Tablets is 5 mg once daily. They can be taken with or without food at any time of the day. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as the patient remembers, but a double dose should not be taken on the same day.
Warning
- Linagliptin should not be prescribed for patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction to this drug, such as urticaria, angioedema, or bronchial hyperreactivity.
- Linagliptin can cause severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. Patients should stop taking Linagliptin and call their doctor if they experience severe pain in the upper stomach that may spread to the back, with or without vomiting.
- Patients should be aware of symptoms of heart failure, such as shortness of breath, swelling in the legs or feet, and rapid weight gain.
- There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Linagliptin should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It is preferable to avoid the use of Linagliptin during pregnancy. It is not known whether Linagliptin passes into breast milk.
