Inosita Plus 50/1000mg Tablets is an oral medication for type 2 diabetes, combining Sitagliptin Phosphate (50mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (1000mg) to help control blood sugar levels in adults when diet and exercise are insufficient.

Suggested Use
Inosita Plus 50/1000mg Tablets are used to:
- Improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
- Serve as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
- Be used when treatment with both sitagliptin and metformin is appropriate.
Dosage
The dosage will be personalized by the healthcare provider based on the specific condition being treated.
Warning
- Metformin can cause lactic acidosis, a rare but serious complication. Symptoms include muscle pain, difficulty breathing, stomach pain, dizziness, and feeling cold.
- Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Regular monitoring of kidney function is recommended.
- Avoid use in patients with liver disease.
- When used with other antidiabetic medications, there is a risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
- Sitagliptin has been associated with an increased risk of pancreatitis. Patients should be monitored for signs and symptoms of pancreatitis.
- Consult a healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, and upper respiratory tract infections.
