Suggested Use
Humalog Mix25 is indicated for:
- Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus: Insulin-dependent diabetes where the pancreas produces little or no insulin.
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Non-insulin-dependent diabetes where the body does not use insulin properly, especially in patients who require insulin for glycemic control.
Dosage:
- Administration: Humalog Mix25 is administered via subcutaneous injection.
- Dosing Schedule: The specific dosage and timing should be determined by a healthcare provider based on individual patient needs. Typically, injections are taken before meals to manage postprandial blood glucose levels.
- Delivery System: The KwikPen allows for precise dosing in increments of 1 unit, with a maximum delivery of up to 60 units per injection.

Warning
- Hypoglycemia Risk: Patients should be aware of the signs and symptoms of low blood sugar, including dizziness, sweating, and confusion. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is essential.
- Injection Site Reactions: Possible reactions at the injection site may include redness, swelling, or itching.
- Storage Conditions: Store at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius; do not freeze. Once in use, the pen can be kept at room temperature for up to 28 days.
- Not for Intravenous Use: Humalog Mix25 should never be administered intravenously as it is intended for subcutaneous use only.
