Dosage:
- Initial Dose: Typically, the starting dose is 1mg once daily, adjusted based on blood glucose response.
- Maintenance Dose: Dosage may be gradually increased to 4mg or as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 8mg per day.
Administration: Take Glypin 4mg once daily with breakfast or the first main meal. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Warning
- Glypin can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Symptoms may include dizziness, sweating, and shaking. Ensure regular meals to reduce risk.
- Avoid Glypin if you are allergic to Glimepiride or any other sulfonylurea medications.
- Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia; limit or avoid alcohol while on this medication.
