Getryl 4mg Tablets contain Glimepiride, which helps manage blood sugar in type 2 diabetes by stimulating insulin release from the pancreas. This aids in blood sugar control when combined with a healthy diet and exercise. Active Ingredient: Glimepiride 4mg.

Suggested Use
Getryl 4mg Tablets are used for:
- Controlling blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and weight loss alone are not sufficient.
- Reducing the risk of complications associated with diabetes, such as kidney damage and blindness.
Dosage
- The usual starting dose is 1-2mg once daily, taken with breakfast or the first main meal. For those sensitive to hypoglycemic drugs, the starting dose should be 1mg once daily.
- The maintenance dose typically ranges from 1 to 4mg once daily, with a maximum recommended dose of 8mg once daily.
Dose increases should be made in increments of no more than 2mg at 1-2 week intervals based on the patient’s blood glucose response.
Warning
- Do not use Getryl 4mg Tablets if you are allergic to glimepiride or any other ingredients in the tablet.
- This medication is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, as this medication may need to be adjusted or discontinued.
- Possible side effects include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), weight gain, gastrointestinal issues such as nausea and diarrhoea, and headache. If you experience severe side effects, contact your healthcare provider immediately
