Pregabalin capsules are prescribed to alleviate nerve pain and manage epilepsy. The capsules are available in different strengths, with the dosage of Pregabalin varying accordingly.
Neuropathic Pain
Suggested Use
Gablin 150 mg is indicated for the following conditions:
- Neuropathic Pain: Relief from nerve pain due to conditions like diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia), or spinal cord injury.
- Epilepsy: Adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures.
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Management of symptoms in adults.
- Fibromyalgia: Alleviates widespread musculoskeletal pain and tenderness.
Dosage as directed by a healthcare provider. Swallow the capsule whole with water.It can be taken with or without food.
Avoid abrupt discontinuation; taper dosage under medical supervision.
Warning
- Discontinue if any hypersensitivity or angioedema symptoms occur.
- It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if affected.
- Monitor in patients with pre-existing heart or kidney conditions.
- Patients should be closely monitored for mood changes or signs of depression.
- Dose adjustment is required based on creatinine clearance.
- Pregnancy and Lactation: Use only if the potential benefits justify the risks.
