KSh 500.00

Anti-Malarial
Suggested Use
The treatment dose is based on the patient’s weight, using 4 mg/kg of Artesunate along with Sulfamethoxypyrazine and Pyrimethamine. Patients need to take three doses over 48 hours:
- The first dose right after a malaria diagnosis (at Time 0),
- The second dose 24 hours later, and
- The last dose 24 hours after that. It’s important to keep a 24-hour gap between doses.
To avoid a relapse, the full treatment must be completed. If a patient vomits within 30 minutes of taking the tablet, they should take the full dose again. If vomiting happens within an hour, they should take half of the dose again.
