If you have allergies to any of the ingredients, do not take Betapyn. It is also important to avoid using it if you have severe liver problems. In cases of respiratory depression, especially with cyanosis and excessive bronchial secretion, it should not be used. Additionally, if you suffer from alcoholism, head injuries, or conditions with raised intracranial pressure, it is best to avoid using this medication. During an asthma attack or heart failure caused by chronic lung disease, do not use Betapyn. This product contains paracetamol, which can be fatal in overdose. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor, hospital, or Poison Centre immediately. This medicine may cause drowsiness and impaired concentration, especially when taken with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants. Codeine should be used cautiously in patients with hypothyroidism, adrenocortical insufficiency, impaired liver function, prostatic hypertrophy, or shock. It should also be used with caution in patients with inflammatory or obstructive bowel disorders. The dosage should be reduced for elderly and debilitated patients. Children under 12 years of age should not be given this medication. It is important to consult your healthcare provider for more information and advice before using Betapyn.
