Airtal 100mg is a film-coated tablet that belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is primarily prescribed for the relief of pain and inflammation. Active Substances: Aceclofenac 100 mg per tablet.

Suggested Use

Airtal is primarily indicated for:

  1. Osteoarthritis: Relieves pain and improves joint mobility.
  2. Rheumatoid Arthritis: Reduces inflammation, stiffness, and joint pain.
  3. Ankylosing Spondylitis: Alleviates chronic back pain and stiffness associated with the condition.
  4. Other Musculoskeletal Disorders: Provides symptomatic relief for sprains, strains, and other inflammatory conditions.

 

Dosage:

  • Recommended Adult Dose:
    • One tablet (100mg) taken twice daily (morning and evening) with or after food.
  • Duration of Treatment:
    • As prescribed by a healthcare professional, based on the patient’s condition and response to therapy.

Warning

  1. Contraindications:
    • Hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac or any NSAIDs.
    • History of gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcers, or perforation.
    • Severe liver or kidney impairment.
    • Active bleeding disorders.
  2. Use with Caution in:
    • Patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors (e.g., hypertension, hyperlipidemia).
    • Individuals with a history of gastrointestinal issues.
    • Elderly patients, as they may be more prone to adverse effects.
  3. Potential Side Effects:
    • Common: Nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, dizziness, or headache.
    • Rare: Gastrointestinal bleeding, skin reactions, or liver function abnormalities.
  4. Drug Interactions:
    • Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, or anticoagulants.
    • May reduce the efficacy of antihypertensive drugs or increase toxicity when combined with methotrexate or lithium.
  5. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
    • Not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester.
    • Avoid use while breastfeeding unless clearly necessary.
