Pulmicort Turbuhaler is a dry powder inhaler used to reduce airway inflammation and manage asthma symptoms and chronic respiratory issues by delivering medication directly to the lungs for quick relief and fewer side effects.Active Substance: Budesonide 200 micrograms per inhalation.

Suggested Use
Pulmicort Turbuhaler is indicated for:
- Long-term control of asthma by reducing inflammation and preventing exacerbations.
- Used as part of a combination therapy to manage symptoms and reduce flare-ups in severe cases in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Occasionally prescribed off-label to control nasal inflammation.
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults and Adolescents (12 years and older):
- Maintenance dose: 200–800 mcg per day, divided into 1–2 doses.
- Maximum dose: Up to 1600 mcg per day in severe cases, divided into 2–4 doses.
- Children (6–12 years):
- Maintenance dose: 200–400 mcg per day, divided into 1–2 doses.
- Dose adjustments depend on the child’s response to treatment.
Instructions for Use:
- Inhale deeply through the mouthpiece for effective drug delivery.
- Rinse the mouth after use to prevent oral thrush.
- Do not exhale into the device to avoid moisture accumulation.
Warning
- Pulmicort Turbuhaler is not intended for rapid relief of acute asthma attacks. Use a short-acting bronchodilator for immediate relief.
- Prolonged use or high doses may lead to adrenal insufficiency. Gradually reduce the dose before discontinuing to allow adrenal recovery.
- Do not use in patients with untreated infections of the respiratory system.
- Hypersensitivity to budesonide or any component of the inhaler.
