Suggested Use
Lantus is used for the treatment of:
- Type 1 diabetes in adults and children aged 6 years and older.
- Type 2 diabetes in adults.

Dosage:
- Administration: Lantus should be administered subcutaneously once daily at the same time each day. The exact dosage will be determined by the healthcare provider based on individual patient needs and blood glucose monitoring results.
- Important Note: Lantus SoloStar is intended for use with its pre-filled pen; DO NOT attempt to administer it using a syringe from a vial unless specified.
Warning
- Avoid use if you have a known sensitivity to insulin glargine or any of its ingredients.
- Do not administer intravenously.
- Watch for signs of low blood sugar, including sweating, tremors, dizziness, and confusion.
- Adjust your dose if you increase physical activity or miss meals to prevent low blood sugar.

- Be aware that certain medications, such as beta-blockers, corticosteroids, and oral contraceptives, may impact your blood glucose levels.
- Use only the Lantus SoloStar pre-filled pen for injections.
- Do not mix or dilute Lantus with other insulins.
