Clindamycin can cause severe colitis, including pseudomembranous colitis, which can be fatal. Consider CDAD in patients with diarrhea after antibiotics. Use caution in patients with liver disease and monitor liver function. Adjust doses for kidney issues. Clindamycin has neuromuscular blocking properties that can enhance other agents.
