Ciprobay IV contains 200mg of ciprofloxacin in a 100ml sterile intravenous solution. Ciprobay IV is recommended for adult patients and certain pediatric cases when oral administration is not possible or suitable.

Monitor for signs of hypersensitivity and anaphylactic reactions. Dosage adjustments may be needed for patients with kidney problems. Avoid excessive sunlight or UV light exposure. Side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, CNS effects, skin reactions, tendonitis, tendon rupture, hypersensitivity reactions, and liver enzyme abnormalities. Avoid concomitant use with tizanidine. Use caution with drugs that prolong the QT interval or potent CYP450 inhibitors. Ciprofloxacin may interact with antacids, sucralfate, and mineral supplements. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be carefully considered.
