Aquacel® is a special range of advanced wound care dressings that use Hydrofiber® Technology. These dressings help create a wet wound environment that supports the body’s natural healing process. Aquacel® dressings are very absorbent and flexible, making them suitable for different types and stages of wounds. They come in various forms, such as ribbon and foam, to meet different clinical needs. The main active ingredient in Aquacel® dressings is sodium carboxymethylcellulose. When it comes into contact with wound fluid, this substance turns into a soft, cohesive gel, maintaining a moist environment that promotes healing.

Why You'll Love It
Aquacel® dressings are used for various types of wounds such as burns, surgical wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic wounds, and wounds left to heal naturally. The frequency of changing Aquacel® dressings depends on the condition of the wound and the amount of fluid it produces. Generally, the dressings can be kept in place for up to seven days, but they should be changed sooner if there are signs of infection or if the dressing becomes saturated due to excessive fluid.
