Tritazide 10/12.5mg Tablets contain two active ingredients that help manage high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and promoting the removal of excess water and salt, reducing the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Active ingredients: Ramipril (10mg) and Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg):

Suggested Use

Tritazide is indicated for:

  1. Treatment of hypertension.
  2. Prevention of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes.
  3. Management of fluid retention (oedema) associated with heart failure or other conditions.
Dosage:

The typical dosage for adults is one tablet taken orally once daily, preferably in the morning. It can be taken with or without food, but it is essential to take it with a full glass of water. Dosage adjustments may be necessary based on individual response and tolerability, as directed by a healthcare provider.

Warning

  • Tritazide should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ramipril or hydrochlorothiazide, or those with severe renal impairment.
  • Potential side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, low blood pressure, electrolyte imbalances (such as low potassium), and kidney function changes.
  • Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels is recommended during treatment.
  • Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be avoided unless specifically prescribed by a healthcare provider due to potential risks to the fetus or infant.
