Advant 8mg Tablets are primarily used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure, helping reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications such as strokes and heart attacks. Active Substances: Candesartan cilexetil 8 mg per tablet.

Suggested Use
Advant 8mg is indicated for:
- Treatment of hypertension in adults and children over 6 years old.
- Management of heart failure in adults.
- Reduction of cardiovascular risks in patients with a history of heart attack.
- Prevention of strokes, cardiac events, and kidney problems in high-risk individuals
Dosage:
- For Hypertension: Start with 8mg once daily; may increase to 16mg if necessary.
- For Heart Failure: Start with 4mg once daily; may increase up to 32mg based on physician recommendations.
- It can be taken with or without food. Dosage adjustments may be required for patients with liver or kidney impairment
Warning
- Advant 8mg is contraindicated during pregnancy due to potential fetal harm. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult their healthcare provider for alternatives.
- Use with caution in patients with severe kidney or liver issues.
- Avoid combining Advant with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics, as this may lead to elevated potassium levels (hyperkalemia). It may also interact with other antihypertensive medications and NSAIDs, potentially affecting blood pressure control.
