Procoralan 7.5mg Tablets are used to treat certain heart conditions by lowering the heart rate, improving oxygen flow, and reducing the heart’s workload. Each tablet contains 7.5mg of Ivabradine.
Anti-Hypertensives
Suggested Use
- Starting Dose: 5 mg twice daily. If well tolerated and heart rate remains above 60 bpm after 3-4 weeks, the dose may be increased to 7.5 mg twice daily.
- Maintenance Dose: Up to 7.5 mg twice daily. If the heart rate decreases below 50 bpm or symptoms of bradycardia occur, the dose should be reduced.
- Patients over 75 years old: Start with 2.5 mg twice daily.
Warning
- Not to be used in patients with resting heart rate below 60 bpm, cardiogenic shock, severe heart failure, severe liver problems, or those taking certain medications (e.g., ketoconazole, macrolide antibiotics).
- Use with caution in patients with heart rhythm disorders, recent stroke, or mild to moderate low blood pressure.
- Side Effects: Dizziness, fatigue, hypotension, and visual disturbances.
