Advantec 16mg/12.5mg Tablets is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains two active substances: candesartan cilexetil (16mg) and hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg).

Suggested Use
Advantec 16mg/12.5mg Tablets are indicated for:
- The treatment of essential hypertension in adults, particularly when blood pressure is inadequately controlled by monotherapy.
- Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in hypertensive patients at risk.
Dosage:
- Usual Adult Dose: One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning.
- Maximum Dose: Adjusted based on clinical response and patient tolerance, as directed by a physician.
- The tablet can be taken with or without food, and it should be swallowed whole with water.
- Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Warning
- Advantec should not be used as initial therapy for hypertension.
- Patients should be monitored for potential side effects, including electrolyte imbalances due to Hydrochlorothiazide.
- Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment or those taking other medications that may affect kidney function.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before using this medication.
