Warning
- Glypy Met 50/500mg is not suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
- When combined with other antidiabetic drugs, such as insulin or sulfonylureas, there may be an increased risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
- Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, as this can affect drug clearance. Regular monitoring of renal function is advised.
- Metformin can cause lactic acidosis, a rare but serious metabolic complication. Patients should seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms like muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain, or unusual tiredness.
