Tritazide 5/25mg Tablets contain Ramipril (5 mg) and Hydrochlorothiazide (25 mg) to treat high blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. The medication works by relaxing blood vessels and eliminating excess fluid, thereby lowering blood pressure.

Suggested Use
Tritazide is used to treat:
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Prevention of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes
- Relief from water retention (oedema)
Dosage:
- Adults: Typically, one tablet once daily, preferably in the morning to avoid nighttime urination.
Administration: Take with a glass of water, with or without food. Important: Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions and never skip doses
Warning
- Do not use if:
- You are allergic to Ramipril, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the tablet’s components.
- You have a history of angioedema.
- You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
- You have severe kidney or liver impairment.
- Use with caution if:
- You have electrolyte imbalances (e.g., low potassium or sodium levels).
- You are taking other medications that affect blood pressure or potassium levels.
- You have diabetes, gout, or lupus.
- You are elderly or dehydrated.
- Possible side effects:
- Dizziness or lightheadedness, especially when standing up.
- Dry cough (common with ACE inhibitors).
- Increased urination (due to the diuretic effect).
- Electrolyte imbalances (e.g., low potassium or sodium levels).
- Rare but serious: angioedema, severe allergic reactions, or kidney dysfunction.
- Important tips:
- Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of dizziness.
- Stay hydrated, but consult your doctor about fluid intake.
