Suggested Use
Cardace 10mg is indicated for:
- Hypertension: To lower high blood pressure, reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
- Heart Failure: To improve survival and reduce symptoms in patients with heart failure.
- Prevention of Symptomatic Heart Failure: In patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction.
- Diabetic Nephropathy: To protect kidney function in diabetic patients with hypertension.
Dosage:
Always take Cardace 10mg exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
- Adults:
- Initial dose: 5mg to 20mg once daily, depending on blood pressure and medical condition.
- Maintenance dose: Typically, 10mg to 20mg daily.
- Maximum dose: 40mg daily in divided doses.
- Elderly: Lower starting dose, often 2.5mg to 5mg, based on individual response.
- Children: Not recommended unless explicitly directed by a healthcare provider.
Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
Warning
- Allergic Reactions: Do not take if you are allergic to enalapril or any other ACE inhibitor.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Avoid use during pregnancy and lactation as it may harm the baby.
- Hypotension: Risk of low blood pressure, especially in patients with heart failure or those taking diuretics.
- Kidney Impairment: Use cautiously in patients with renal dysfunction; dose adjustment may be necessary.

- Drug Interactions:
- Avoid combining with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), potassium supplements, or lithium.

Side Effects
