Telmicos 80mg Tablets are used to manage high blood pressure and certain heart conditions. They function by inhibiting the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. By blocking this hormone, Telmicos allows blood vessels to relax, which lowers blood pressure and lessens the heart’s workload. Active Substances: Telmisartan (80mg per tablet)

Indications (Uses):
- Telmicos is used to lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension. It helps reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
- It may be prescribed for patients with heart disease, particularly those at risk of heart failure, to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.
- Telmicos may also be used in combination with other treatments to manage heart failure.
Dosage:
Adults: The usual starting dose is 40mg once daily, which can be increased to a maximum of 80mg once daily if needed.
Take the tablet with liquid, with or without food, at the same time each day.
Warning
- Do not use it if you are allergic to Telmisartan.
- Pregnancy: Contraindicated in the second and third trimesters.
- Not recommended for use if you have a blockage in your bile duct.
- Avoid use if you have severe liver problems.
- Unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Telmicos.
- May interact with ACE inhibitors, potassium salts, and digoxin.
Side Effects: Upper respiratory tract infection, Back pain, Diarrhea, Sinus inflammation, Dizziness, Fatigue.
