Pulmicort 0.25mg Nebulizer Suspension is a corticosteroid inhalation solution designed to reduce airway inflammation. Intended for nebulizer use, it delivers Budesonide (0.25mg/ml) directly to the lungs for effective relief from respiratory problems.

Suggested Use
Pulmicort 0.25mg Nebuliser Suspension is used for:
- Regular treatment of asthma: It helps to relieve and prevent inflammation in the airways caused by asthma.
- Maintenance therapy: It is intended for regular and maintenance use, not for rapid relief of acute asthma conditions.
- Serious pseudocroup: It can be used in hospitals to treat very serious pseudocroup (laryngeal inflammation that can cause breathing difficulties).
Dosage:
- Children (6 months and older): 0.25-0.5 mg per day.
- Adults: 1-2 mg per day.
- Maintenance treatment: The lowest effective dose should be used.
Administration: The suspension should be administered via a jet nebulizer equipped with a mouthpiece or suitable facemask. The nebulizer should be connected to an air compressor with an adequate airflow (5-8 L/min).
Warning
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation: Gradual tapering is necessary under medical supervision.
- Rinse your mouth thoroughly after each use to reduce the risk of fungal infections.
- Avoid use if allergic to budesonide or any excipients.
- Use cautiously in patients with active or latent infections, including tuberculosis.
- Prolonged use may affect growth; regular monitoring is advised.
- Pregnancy and lactation: Consult a doctor before use, as safety data is limited.
