Orelox 100ml Suspension is an antibiotic containing cefpodoxime proxetil, a third-generation cephalosporin. It is used to treat bacterial infections. The pleasant taste of the suspension makes it easier for children to take. Each 5 ml of the suspension has 40 mg of cefpodoxime.

Suggested Use
Orelox suspension is used for the short-term treatment of bacterial infections, including:
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Ear infections (acute otitis media)
- Bone infections
- Bloodstream infections
- Abdominal infections
- Genital infections
- Lung infections (pneumonia)
- Prevention of infections after surgery.
Dosage:
- Children: The recommended dosage is 8 mg/kg/day, administered in two divided doses at 12-hour intervals. Use the calibrated spoon provided for accurate dosing based on the child’s weight.
Warning
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergic reactions to cephalosporins or penicillins.
- Contains aspartame; not suitable for children with phenylketonuria.
- Not recommended for use in infants younger than 15 days.
- Possible side effects include diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and skin rashes.
