No Spa 80mg Tabs is an antispasmodic medication used to relieve muscle spasms and pain associated with various conditions. It contains 80mg of drotaverine hydrochloride per tablet.
Anti-spasmodics
Suggested Use
No-Spa 80mg Tablets are used for:
- Relieving smooth muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, such as those caused by irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or colitis.
- Managing spasms of the urinary tract, including those associated with renal colic or cystitis.
- Treating gynaecological spasms, such as those experienced during dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual cramps).
- Supporting the management of spastic conditions of the bile ducts, including cholelithiasis (gallstones).
Dosage:
- Adults: The recommended dosage is 1 tablet (80mg) taken 2-3 times a day.
- Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 240mg per day (3 tablets).
- Children: Use under medical supervision; dosage will depend on the child’s weight and condition.
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew.
Warning
- Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to drotaverine or any other tablet components.
- Severe liver, kidney, or heart failure.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult a doctor before use. Limited data suggests no harmful effects during pregnancy, but medical advice is essential.
- Side Effects:
- Common: Nausea, dizziness, or headache.
- Rare: Allergic reactions such as rash or swelling.
- Precautions:
- Avoid if you have low blood pressure, as drotaverine can cause further drops.
