Melanov 80mg Tablets help manage blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 diabetes when diet, exercise, and weight loss are not enough. The active ingredient is Gliclazide 80mg.

Suggested Use
Melanov 80mg Tablets are used to manage blood glucose levels in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. They work by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas, which helps lower blood sugar levels.
Dosage:
- The usual initial dose is 40 to 80 mg daily, which can be gradually increased if necessary, up to 320 mg daily until adequate control is achieved.
- A single dose should not exceed 160 mg. When higher doses are required, it should be taken twice daily, according to the main meals of the day.
Warning
- Do not take Melanov 80mg if you are allergic to gliclazide or any of the other ingredients in the tablet.
- It is not recommended for use in children or adolescents.
- Avoid taking this medication if you have insulin-dependent diabetes (Type 1), severe kidney or liver disease, or if you are breastfeeding.
- Be cautious if you have an operation, a serious injury, fever, or infection, as these conditions may affect your blood sugar levels.
- Inform your doctor if you are planning a pregnancy or become pregnant while taking this medication.
- This medicine may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Symptoms include headache, intense hunger, nausea, vomiting, weariness, sleep disorders, restlessness, aggressiveness, poor concentration, reduced alertness, depression, confusion, speech or visual disorders, tremors, sensory disturbances, dizziness, and helplessness
