- Hypokalemia (Low Potassium Levels): Insulin therapy can cause potassium levels to drop. Regular monitoring of potassium levels is advised.
- Adjustments in Dosage: Humalog doses may need to be adjusted if there are changes in diet, exercise, or other medications.
- Infection or Injury: If the injection site becomes infected or injured, consult a doctor before continuing use.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as insulin needs may change during this time.
- Overdose: In case of an overdose, hypoglycaemia may occur, requiring immediate treatment with glucose or a sugar-containing drink.
- Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may have allergic reactions to insulin. Seek medical advice if any unusual reactions occur.
