Gliclazide 80mg Tablets are used to help manage blood sugar levels in individuals with Type 2 diabetes. These tablets are a type of sulfonylurea, which encourages the pancreas to release insulin, helping to decrease blood sugar. Each tablet has 80mg of Gliclazide.

Suggested Use
Gliclazide 80mg Tablets are used for:
- Controlling blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and weight loss alone are not sufficient.
- Reducing the risk of complications associated with diabetes, such as kidney damage and blindness.
Dosage:
- The usual starting dose is 40 to 80mg (half to one tablet) daily, adjusted according to your response, up to a maximum of 320mg (four tablets) daily.
- Up to 160mg (two tablets) can be taken at one time.
- It is important to follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the dosage and duration of treatment.
Warning
- Do not use Gliclazide 80mg Tablets if you are allergic to Gliclazide or any other ingredients in the tablet.
- This medication is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, as this medication may need to be adjusted or discontinued.
- Possible side effects include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), weight gain, gastrointestinal issues such as nausea and diarrhoea, and headache. If you experience severe side effects, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
