Fusigen Ointment is a topical treatment for bacterial skin infections. It alleviates redness, swelling, and irritation. Active Ingredient: Fusidic Acid 2% w/w.
Antibiotic Ointment
Suggested Use
Fusigen Ointment is prescribed for the treatment of bacterial skin infections, particularly those caused by Staphylococcus aureus and other sensitive bacteria. Common conditions treated include:
- Impetigo
- Infected cuts and abrasions
- Secondary infections in eczema
- Folliculitis (infected hair follicles)
Dosage:
- Adults and Children: Apply a thin layer of Fusigen Ointment to the affected area 2-3 times daily, as directed by a healthcare provider.
- The duration of treatment may vary based on the infection severity but generally should not exceed 7-10 days unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional.
- Wash hands before and after application, unless hands are the treatment site.
Warning
- Discontinue use and seek medical attention if signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, itching, or swelling, occur.
- Do not apply near the eyes. Rinse thoroughly with water if accidental contact occurs.
- Consult a healthcare provider before using Fusigen Ointment during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Avoid prolonged use, as this may lead to decreased effectiveness or the development of resistant bacteria.
- Not recommended for individuals who are sensitive to fusidic acid or any component of the ointment.
- Store below 25°C and keep the ointment away from direct sunlight.
