Euroderm Foam Dressing
KSh 8,500.00 – KSh 12,000.00
Euroderm Foam Dressing is a non-adhesive hydrocellular polyurethane foam dressing designed for optimal wound care. Composed of a highly absorbent polyurethane foam and a breathable polyurethane film, it is impervious to water and bacteria but permeable to water vapour. This ensures that fluids are evenly distributed within the foam dressing, adapting perfectly to the wound surface while maintaining an ideal moist environment for the healing process.
Polyurethane Foam Dressing.
Why You'll Love It
- High Absorbency: The polyurethane foam dressing reduces the number of changes, ensuring patient comfort and cost-efficiency in wound treatment.
- Comfort and Protection: The thickness of the foam creates a cushioning effect that reduces pressure on the wound area, minimizing friction and stress.
- Easy Application: The distinctive “flat edge” design facilitates the application of a secondary fixation dressing, providing additional protection against liquid leakage.
- Breathable and Waterproof: Acts as a barrier to prevent contamination by bacteria while allowing the wound to breathe.
- Atraumatic and Painless Change: The dressing does not adhere to the wound, ensuring painless removal.
Suggested Use
Euroderm Foam Dressing is suitable for a variety of wounds, including:
- Pressure ulcers (1st to 4th stage)
- Postoperative wounds
- Vascular lesions
- First and second-degree burns
- Lesions with fragile and delicate perilesional skin
- Skin sampling sites
- Venous and arterial ulcers
- Diabetic ulcers
- Lacerations and abrasions
For the treatment of necrotic or fibrinous wounds, it is recommended to use in combination with Hydromed gel. The dressing can stay on the wound for up to 7 days, with the frequency of change depending on the clinical condition, type of wound, and amount of exudate.
Caution
- Avoid Use on Fragile Periwound Areas: Euroderm Foam Dressing should not be applied to wounds with a fragile periwound area due to the potential risk of causing further damage.
- Monitor Exudate Levels: Regularly check the dressing for saturation and change as needed to prevent maceration and promote healing.
Allergic Reactions: Although hypoallergenic, monitor for any signs of allergic reactions, such as redness or itching, and discontinue use if observed
