Diagluc 80mg Tablets are used to help control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. It helps the pancreas make more insulin, which lowers blood sugar levels. The active ingredient is Gliclazide 80mg.

Suggested Use
Diagluc 80mg Tablets are primarily used for:
- Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.
- Regulating blood sugar levels as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan, alongside diet and exercise.
Dosage: Adults – The initial dose typically starts at 40–80 mg daily, taken with or after breakfast or the first main meal. The dosage may be adjusted in increments depending on the patient’s response. It should be taken orally with a meal to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia.
Warning
- Diagluc may cause low blood sugar, especially in patients with irregular meal patterns, strenuous exercise, or those using other diabetes medications.
- Use with caution and adjust the dose as needed under medical supervision.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Not recommended; insulin is typically preferred for blood glucose control in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- Use cautiously if taking other medications that affect blood sugar, like insulin, other antidiabetic agents, or beta-blockers, which can mask hypoglycemia symptoms.
- Some patients may experience allergic reactions such as skin rashes. Seek medical advice if symptoms occur.
