Sporanox 100mg Capsules treat fungal infections in the skin, nails, mouth, vagina, and other internal organs by blocking ergosterol production, essential for fungal cell membranes, and thus inhibits fungal growth. Active Substances: Itraconazole 100mg.

Suggested Use
Sporanox is indicated for the treatment of:
- Fungal infections of the vagina (e.g., vulvovaginal candidiasis)
- Nail infections (onychomycosis)
- Skin infections (dermatomycosis)
- Oral and throat candidiasis
- Systemic fungal infections such as aspergillosis and cryptococcosis
Dosage:
The dosage of Sporanox varies depending on the type of infection:
- Vulvovaginal candidiasis: 200 mg twice daily for 1 day or 200 mg once daily for 3 days.
- Dermatological infections: 200 mg once daily for 7 days or 100 mg daily for 15 days.
- Onychomycosis:
- Pulse therapy: 200 mg twice daily for 1 week, followed by a 3-week drug-free interval. This cycle can be repeated as needed.
- Continuous therapy: 200 mg once daily for up to 3 months.
- Systemic mycoses: Dosage may range from 100 mg to 200 mg once or twice daily, depending on the specific condition and duration of treatment
Warning
- Contraindications: Do not use if allergic to Itraconazole or any other components, if you have heart problems (such as congestive heart failure), or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Side Effects: Common side effects may include nausea, abdominal pain, rash, dizziness, headache, vomiting, diarrhoea, and altered taste. If severe side effects occur or symptoms persist, consult a healthcare provider
- Alcohol Interaction: Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication as it may exacerbate side effects like dizziness.
- Liver and Kidney Health: Consult a doctor if you have liver or kidney issues before using Sporanox.
