Suggested Use

Ovulet is used in:

  1. Treatment of anovulation or oligo-ovulation in women desiring pregnancy.
  2. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)-related infertility.
  3. Unexplained infertility as part of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation.
  4. Diagnostic evaluation of hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis function.
Dosage:
  • The recommended dosage for adults is 50 mg orally once daily for 5 days.
  • Treatment typically begins on the fifth day of the menstrual cycle or after a progestin-induced bleed.

If ovulation does not occur after the first course, the dose may be increased, but should not exceed 100 mg per day for 5 days. Most patients will respond to the initial dosage, and further treatment should be reevaluated if ovulation does not occur after three courses

  • Increased risk of twins or higher-order multiples.
  • Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS): Monitor for symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, or weight gain.

  •  Avoid in patients with liver disease or a history of hepatic dysfunction.
  • Limit to a maximum of 6 cycles to minimize long-term risks.
