Bipreterax is indicated for:
- Hypertension: Treatment of high blood pressure in adults.
- Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Prevention of complications such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems associated with hypertension.
Dosage:
The recommended dosage for adults is:
- One tablet daily, preferably taken in the morning before a meal.
- Special populations, such as the elderly or those with renal impairment, may require adjusted dosing based on individual health assessments.
Warning
- Do not use if allergic to perindopril, indapamide, or any excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of severe renal impairment or during pregnancy.
- Inform your healthcare provider about all medications being taken, especially diuretics, potassium supplements, lithium, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- Possible side effects include hypotension, dizziness, headache, fatigue, and gastrointestinal disturbances. In case of overdose, symptoms may include severe hypotension, nausea, vomiting, and confusion.
